inMotion Classic auto-shutdown problem??

so I just got one of these inMotion Classic 620 and I been loving it - yet I realized tonight that it has a flaw I can't seem to rectify.

I use it to ply an aux. mp3 player into the back Input. I don't have an iPod, but a Cowon iAudio x5. Seems that when the Classic is running on battery power and playing something from the Aux. Input it shuts down after 4 minutes. Anyone else experience this?

An auo-shut off from the Classic when it's playing something from the Aux. Input and running on battery?

Sorry, but we aren't likely to be of any help. This forum is all about Altec Lansing's professional equipment from the 90's and earlier, and the home audio products from the early 80's on back to the beginning. Your product is more recent, and was produced by Sparkomatic, the company that purchased the Altec name.

Yes-the Altec-Lansing multimedia/cptr/ipod products are just using the brand, nothing to do with the company (long gone) that first coined the name.
Another example would be the "Acoustic Research" trademark, bought and sold several times, now being used to brand cables mostly (do they still make speakers?).
Stranger still, "Braniff International", once an airline, is now a name used, plane-picture and all, to front a film/TV production company.
"Pan Am" and their globe logo oddly grace the sides of boxcars in New England. Quite a turnaround...
I know that doesn't help you but it was an in for a digression (others now would as always say to me, "ANYway,...").
